Easter Egg Hunt & Coffee Morning
Our Easter event attracted the younger members of our community and nearby villages, as they embarked on a hunt for eggs that had been cunningly hidden around the Hall, Playing Field and Churchyard.
The gallant seekers didn’t know how many eggs had been hidden (58 in total it was later revealed), just that they had to find as many as they could. They all did very well and each won themselves an Easter Egg to add to their collection.
Thank you to all those who took part, helped to arrange and setup the hunt and particularly to Kinnerton’s who very generously donated the prizes.
In addition to the hunt there was also a “guess the number of sweets in the jar” competition, giving everyone’s estimation skills a workout. We were put out of our misery at the end, when the answer of 88 was announced.
- The winner, with an impressively close guess of 87, won the contents of the jar
- The runner-up who guessed 90 won a couple of large Easter Eggs
- Everyone else who entered received some sort of chocolate egg
As usual the kitchen did a brisk trade in drinks and cakes, with some particularly fine-looking (and tasting!) home-baked specimens kindly donated by members of the community.

If any of the above has sparked your interest, then we’re always on the lookout for those who would like to get involved with future events, and we’d be very pleased to hear from you via our contact page.
